Megan and Brian’s Engagement Session at First Landing State Park

She told me she was worried they wouldn’t be good at this, and I chuckled to myself… They are TOTAL NATURALS.

I first photographed these two last December for Megan’s big family holiday session. We got large group shots first, and then I paired people off into couples and smaller groups. After shooting a few of Megan and Brian, and hearing they were recently engaged, I secretly hoped to myself that they would pick me to shoot their wedding!  First of all, they are a STUNNING couple and naturals in front of the camera. Every smile and laugh are genuine, and it’s incredibly obvious they are smitten with each other. And here we are! They picked me!

First Landing State Park

We chose First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, VA for the location. The park has a mix of wooded areas and beach, as well as the most beautiful August weather, the location was perfect.

Megan and Brian were so fun to photograph and spend the evening with. Their energy is contagious and their relationship, with its subtle inside jokes, is enviable. Enjoy these few photos! And I look forward to your wedding next May!
