Annie and Mark’s Newport News Wedding

Annie and Mark were such a pleasure to work with! Through a rainy morning and a couple of lost buttons, they were both so laid back! I met them last November when we got together for their engagement session. They are the kind of couple I pinch myself for getting to photograph! They are so naturally beautiful and so easy to photograph. So, understandably, I have been looking forward to their wedding day since last November!

Annie and Mark got married at the beautiful Klin Creek Golf Club and Resort in Newport News, Virginia. This was my first time at this venue and I highly recommend it! The space was beautiful! The ceremony was held on the patio adorned with twinkling lights, while the reception space was on the second floor, flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows.

In perfect timing, the rainy skies parted just in time for the ceremony, and as Annie walked down the aisle, the sun popped out, glowing behind her. Mark and Annie shared a sweet and classic ceremony followed by a huge group photo from a second story patio. (Guys, it was pretty epic!)

I think my favorite happened during the reception. Out of nowhere, the DJ played a song that Annie’s whole entire family recognized and started dancing to in sync. This didn’t just happen once, but multiple times! The arm movements of the dances were incredibly delicate and fluid. It was so fun to watch all of the guests try to jump in. It felt like we were in the middle of a flash dance mob!

At the end of the night, they left through a tunnel of sparklers! What a perfect way to end the night!

Overall, Annie and Mark’s wedding was stunningly beautiful! I am so grateful I got to play a part in it and capture all of these special moments! Please enjoy!
