In-Home First Birthday Session

Last weekend this sweet rainbow baby celebrated her first birthday! The small unicorn themed party included tacos and this incredible vegan cake! Violet, surrounded by her adoring family, dug into her cake by first delicately picking the banana pieces off the top. But soon after she went in head first for a bite!

The family then moved to the front porch for more cake eating before Violet opened her presents.

The weather could not have been more beautiful as the party ended with family photos in the back yard.

This type of in-home session is my favorite. Nothing is particularly staged and every photo tells such a vivid story of family, and love, and celebration of life.

Violet shared the party and the cake with her 26 year old cousin.
